چکیده
Background and purposeDelayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) complicates the recovery of approximately 30% patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). The definition DCI widely varies, even though a consensus has been recommended since 2010. This study aimed to evaluate prognostic value 2010 in cohort aSAH.MethodsWe conducted single-center, retrospective, observational that included consecutive adult aSAH who were admitted intensive care unit from January December 2014. was evaluated 48 h 14 days after onset symptoms using criteria outcome assessed by Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) at discharge hospital.ResultsA total 340 analyzed incidence 37.1%. median time primary occurrence 97 h. Neurological deterioration observed most (89.7%) fulfilled criteria. strongly associated an unfavorable (GOS 1–3) hospital (OR 2.65, 95% CI 1.69–4.22, p < 0.001).ConclusionsThe is high its neurological outcome. finding adds previous literature, which shown appears be major contributor affecting functional ability survivors aSAH. To further advance reliable knowledge DCI, future studies should adhere DCI.

متن کاملEffects of Induced Hypertension on Cerebral Perfusion in Delayed Cerebral Ischemia After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) contributes to poor outcome after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and may occur when the cerebral blood flow (CBF) no longer meets the demand of the brain tissue in the setting of impaired cerebrovascular autoregulation. Vasospasm is an important cause of DCI, and for many decades, the so-called triple-H therapy is used to target this potential cause of DCI. O...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage are typically kept in the intensive care unit to be monitored for signs of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI). Identifying patients at lower risk for DCI could have a positive financial impact by allowing earlier transfer from the intensive care unit. METHODS We analyzed 307 consecutive patients admitted to the intensive car...
متن کاملCirculating MicroRNAs in Delayed Cerebral Infarction After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
BACKGROUND Delayed cerebral infarction (DCI) is a major cause of morbidities after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and typically starts at day 4 to 7 after initial hemorrhage. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in posttranscriptional gene expression control, and distinctive patterns of circulating miRNA changes have been identified for some diseases. We aimed to investigate miRN...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) is a major cause of death and disability in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. We studied the prognostic value for DCI of 2 factors: the duration of unconsciousness after the hemorrhage and the presence of risk factors for atherosclerosis. METHODS In 125 consecutive patients admitted within 4 days after hemorrhage, we asses...
